Sinful Colors Polish sale!

Sorry, I'm a bit late on this one. This week, Walgreens has Sinful Nails on sale for .99 a piece! They usually retail for $1.99, so, this half off deal is pretty sweet! The only downside is.. there's a limit. Three per person. But, bring a friend or two and get some cheap, but good, polish! The deal is over on Sunday!

(Spring:Fresh Faces) Marc Jacobs S/S 2011

Today, I was feeling something off the runway. It's turning all green and cute around here, finally! So, with that, I decided to do Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer Runway make-up. The theme almost had a tropical-gothic vibe going on. I loved the flawless skin with undone eyes and worn lips. I used mainly MAC, but, these colors are pretty easy to dupe with drugstore! Unfortunately, my camera didn't pick up the high shine from the Reflects Gold, but, it was there! What do you guys think of this runway look? And! Do you want to see more runway looks?
And, bonus: breaking out my sweet yellow sunglasses!

Detubing Lipsticks!

Finally, my post on detubing lipsticks! Months back, I watched (genius) Dusty Hunter's video about organizing lipsticks. I'm huge on organizing my stash, so, this was epic. I was originally searching for Japonesque foundation palette dupes, but, no luck! So, I tracked my way to Michael's and bought a couple bead organizers that happened to be practically the same thing Dusty used. So far, I'm loving it. It has it's own little carrying case, and, isn't too bulky or heavy. Each organizer can hold 30 lipsticks, and costs roughly $9 each. A+++, Dusty!
The Process:
My second round: (All MAC) Photo, Morange, Rebel, Show Orchid, Pink Nouveau, Up the Amp, and Girl About Town.

(Spring: Naked Nails) Sinful Colors Folly

Alright, alright. So, I know this isn't anywhere near being a nude-toned color. But, come on! You gotta fit some hot n' bright coral in your Spring! It's always a favorite of mine and looks great on everyone. I picked up Sinful Colors' Folly a few weeks ago. Now, mine didn't have a label, so, this is just a rough guess. It's definitely no where near Boogie Nights, or Hazard, either. Folly, it is! Now, I have to say.. this is thee most gorgeous $2 coral creme polish ever. It goes on smoothly, and very opaque. Everyone deserves to own this beauty!

Kalahari, 04.07.11

A couple weeks back, I went through all of the Make-Up Store online magazines. I found so much inspiration there, it was ridiculous! One of the looks was from a shoot called Kalahari. It features a model much darker than my pale self that resembles the gorgeous Rosario Dawson! I've really been into more raw, tribal-type make-up lately, and this fit perfectly. I changed the cheeks up a little bit to fit my skin tone. Now, I'm still learning my new camera, and these were the best I shot! Enjoy!

A while back, I was sent a gracious amount of lashes from KKCenterhk again! I've tried out a few pairs on myself, and, really love them! I also used them on a few of the girls at the pin-up shoot. All three said they didn't have any issues with them itching or irritating their eyes. These are all the 10-pairs of lashes. They all retail between an extremely inexpensive $4-$11 each box! All of them are made by ES Brand.

(Spring: Naked Nails) Sinful Colors Vacation Time

A few days back, I painted my nails with this baby! It's Sinful Color's Vacation Time polish. It's a really great desert rose-mauve-tan thing that covers like a dream! I only needed 2 coats on most of my nails, and, they were good to go! Vacation Time has a cream finish to it, as well. I originally saw it and thought it's kind of an aged color, but, I really do like it. It goes with TONS of outfits, and still has hue to it that's not a total bore! Check it out:

La Femme Blush-On Rouge swatches!

A few weeks back, I made an order through Make-Up Mania! I was just originally ordering Ben Nye's Final Seal, and, a steal artist palette! Of course, that didn't happen. I came across their products from La Femme, including the Blush-On Rouges. I had heard great things about them, and, they're only $3 per pot! I've used them a handful of times so far, but, the results are awesome. The pigmentation is amazing! But, with these types of products, you have to use a light hand! Here are the swatches:

(Spring: Fresh Faces) Moranged

It's the season of orange! I broke out my recent purchase, MAC's Morange, the other day. I gotta say.. I'm in love. At first, I was disappointed I couldn't get my hands on Neon Orange immediately, but, this is a good step towards it! Morange was applied over NYX's (totally awesome) Orange lip liner. It definitely spruced it up! With the orange lips, I kept the rest of the face simple with a little bit of Mighty Aphrodite on the cheeks, and, some Revlon Fabulash mascara on the eyes! It's so simple and effortless. Any one can do this, and, I guarantee there is an orange out there for everyone.

Revlon Colorburst + Matte swatches!

A few weeks back, Walgreen's had a great sale on Revlon. An unheard-of 40% off! (This week, Almay is 40% off!) I picked up a couple more products including two more Matte lipsticks, and, one of their Colorburst glosses! Here are the swatches:
From left to right: Colorburst gloss in Fire. Super Lustrous Lipstick Matte in Stormy Pink, and Nude Attitude.
The collective Walgreen's haul!

(Spring: Naked Nails) Urban Outfitter's Afterhours

A week ago, I was perusing Urban Outfitter's and came across their nail polish at the check out. The first one that caught my eye was this little delicious glitter polish called Afterhours. I'm sure they were aiming to replicate OPI's Mad As A Hatter polish with this! It's multi-colored, but, mainly focuses on silver and pink/red particles. At first, my only complaint was the really chunky bottle with an unnecessary amount of glass. Then, the next morning, I woke up and found the polish had chipped off half of my nails. And, that's without running it under water several times, playing sports, or being hard on the nails in general! So, overall, do not get these polishes. A waste of $5, and glass!Compared to China Glaze and OPI bottles.
