Skincare Questions for You!

So, I have some quick questions on skincare recommendations from you guys! I am running out of face cleanser, and moisturizer. I'm also looking into getting an eye make-up remover, and a night time moisturizer.

Currently, my skin is slightly dry, but, I get oily on my nostrils by the end of the day. My skin isn't too sensitive either!

I'm about out of Philosophy's Purity cleanser, which, hasn't impressed me with the chemical smell. My moisturizer is Wei East's Bright Lights Rice Milk Face Cream. It's worked great on my skin, but, retails a heavy $30+ each tube! And, it only lasted me 3-4 months.

If any of you have any cruelty-free companies that have great skincare that won't rob me solid, I'd love some recommendations!

  1. Hey ! :-)

I'm a big fan of your blog, loving your reviews and looks ! Your new hair colour is so great, everything suits you, that's amazing !..

For your questions, I can recommand Embyolisse Lait-Crème Concentré as a moisturizer, it is PERFECT for every skin type ! Plus if I don't have any make-up remover, it perfectly does its job as a remover as well. You can also use it as a mask if you put a thick dose and let your skin absorbes the cream !..

It's cruelty-free, so don't hesitate ! It's not expensive at all, personnaly I'm from France and it costs about 10€ for the tube (75ml). I don't know if you can buy it in a drugstore, I don't think so, but if you want to try you can check if it is avaible online. Maybe on http://www.lecomptoirsante.com/ or their official website : http://www.embryolisse.com/ (on wich you can change the langage for "English").

Have a nice day :-) (excuse my poor english...)

  2. I'm using Neutrogena facial scrubs at the minute which i'm loving, i'm using their moisturiser but not too keen at the moment. I'd recommend the body shop seaweed moisturiser, its brilliant, i'm all out at the minute but i'm defo purchasing it when this neutrogena stuff is finished.

I use pamper simply clean wipes to remove make-up and they're surprisingly brilliant!

Night time I use the body shop seaweed night serum which I love love love.

I've also got combination skin, it tends to sway towards the oiler side but my nose and some patches on my face get dry.

  3. I love using Aveeno products. They're pricely for the drug store, but in the big picture are fairly reasonable. My current obsession is their Positively Radiant daily moisturizer. For my skin, it really does the trick and it gives my skin a little glow to it (there's some sort of sheen to it but it isn't overwhelming by any means). I've also been trying their eye cream, which I guess works? lol I don't really have anything to measure it by but it keeps my eye area moisturized and firm so that's a plus.

I'm still trying to find a good night cream myself but I hear a lot of people raving about Kiehl's. I think their night creams range from $25-$30. I had tried an H20 one a while back that's really nice in the summer, but it's like $40 =X Sooo that's a bit expensive haha

And for makeup remover, I use the Olay multi-action wipes or something like that. They do a couple different things for your face, but they don't really get off waterproof mascara very well. That's my only complaint with those.

Hope that helped a little! =)
