new haul; Wet n' Wild!

This weekend I was staying with my parents, and came across the Walgreens ad on Sunday. Fifty percent off all Wet n' Wild Cosmetics! I headed there that evening and bought my first haul for $11.73. Yesterday, I came back home and checked my Walgreens and bought $10.24!! Here's what $21.97 looks like..
(back row): Dreamy Poppy, Blazed, Sunny Side Up, Blue Moon, Black Crème, Through the Grapevine, Disturbia, Black Mail, Shield, Morbid
(middle row): Black and Aqua Mega Liners
(front row): Pearlescent Pink, Heather Pink, Kitten (purple), Envy (green), Vanity, Pride
So, basically.. if you've ever wanted to try Wet n' Wild and you have a Walgreens near, run! Don't walk! Have a wonderful day..

Sinful Colors' Tokyo Pearl

Hey again! I painted my nails the other day with Sinful Colors polish, Tokyo Pearl. I've had this polish forever and haven't tried it once! It's supposed to be the dupe (color, texture, and pretty much the name!) for OPI's Kyoto Pearl. The bottled color looks like a pure, metallic white. Once it was applied on my nails, it came out more of a super bright metallic-silver with a foil finish. I definitely will be using this more often, especially come winter-time!
(please excuse the uber short nails!)

and a cookie for your patience!

I've finally decided on going all out on the sugar skull character (based on Sylvia Ji's work) for Halloween! I can't believe it's a month and five days away... *sigh*. Okay, so, although I did a mask a few years back with my general make-up stash, *cue picture here*,
I decided it's time to upgrade and finally got on board with the Mehron Paradise Palettes. Especially because my 21st birthday is coming up in a week or so! A couple weeks ago, I was very lucky to stumble across a costume shop that carries many of Mehron's products, including all 4 Paradise Palettes. I ended up splurging a bit much for my wallet right now and bought the Tropical palette (my initial "want"), and then Basic (because that's all I needed for the sugar skull look!). Here are the pictures and some awesome swatches!
Basic (top), Tropical (bottom)
The wonderful synthetic brush included in each palette!

And then with flash.

All I can say right now is that I'm completely blown away!
And I can't wait to get the Pastel palette, woot! Have a great weekend everyone!

new cut, new color!

So, here's what we were working with for the last couple months.. frayed, faded, funky hair. Nothing wrong with that. I can definitely handle some funky strands, but I was over it 2 months later! My dream hair at the moment is Michelle Williams' current long pixie seen here! It's so dreamy and platinum! I figure it'd be better going lighter now, rather than darker and then "hello damage!" lighter. Today is marking a week I've had the new style and this is what I've done so far..
flat-ironed with a Cricket Centrix iron, love!
natural texture + blow dryer = still funkalicious.
and this is curled with a 1" Hot Tools iron!
November 3rd is my determination day for being platinum, or at least a gorgeous violet/ashy light blonde. Wish me luck!
